I believe cities should be welcoming, inclusive, and sustainable places for all people; that good citizenship means taking action; and that business can be a force for good in the world.
Drawing on two decades of diverse senior-level experience across public, non-profit, and private sectors, I am a forward-thinking strategist working at the intersection of social change and urban development.
I am co-owner and sales representative at Purpose Real Estate, an independent advisory and brokerage firm offering buying, selling, and consulting services to non-profit organizations and residential clients seeking innovative real estate solutions.
In addition, I recently formed BigCityMix to facilitate cross-sector collaboration and help forward-looking organizations link social innovation and business strategy. My current focus is developing ambiSHEous, a signature program for girls age 10-14. By combining leadership, citizenship, and social entrepreneurship, my goal is to positively shape the ambitions of girls in a world-changing way.
I’m also Co-founder and Chair of Neighbourhood Refresh, a non-profit providing pro-bono preliminary design and architectural advice to community-based organizations
My website is currently being fine tuned. In the meantime, feel free to say hello at katharine(at)katharinecornfield.com.
